Saturday April 26th and Sunday May 4th from 1-3 PM at Conner High School
The Women's Amateur Program offers a venue for players between collegiate seasons to remain active with formal training and competitions against other regional amateur clubs and provides a competitive environment for those who are pursuing a pre-pro pathway or aspire to continue playing soccer at a higher level.
The FrauenGeist Play in the Ohio Valley Premier League. The OVPL is a Sanctioned amateur league through US Club Soccer.
Women's Amateur Program overview
2024 saw the program go from last in the standings in 2023 to finishing 2nd in the OVPL River Division and 3rd overall among all 12 teams in both the River and Valley Divisions.
2024 OVPL results among all teams:
- 3rd best Goal Differential
- Tied for 2nd in Goals For
- 3rd in Goals Against
- 2024 Community Shield Winner
- 2024 Social Media Account Winner
- 3 players named to the 2024 OVPL Starting 11
- The Women's Program plays in the OVPL (Ohio Valley Premier League)
- Tryouts would be held in late April and/or early May each year
- Open to ALL, it is not current Fusion FC player exclusive
- League runs Mid/Late May through July
- Up to 10 League Games
- Post-season Games possible
- Training 2-3 times each week
- Is a sanctioned Amateur league and part of US Club Soccer
- Games & Training do not interfere with collegiate eligibility
- Eligible age is 17 and older
- There is NO upper age limit, anyone older than age 17 is eligible
- NO PLAYER FEES
- Our goal is to find sufficient sponsorship to remove costs associated with league fees, referee fees and uniforms limiting player and coaching expenses.
